Yes, we require clients to provide their own hair for all braiding services.

Yes, we require all clients to do a consultation and a mandatory patch test if you have not been coloured with us before.
Please note that the patch test must be done minimum 48 hours prior to your colour appointment.
If you have done colour with us before, please call and confirm the colouring which you would like to do to ensure that we have your desired colour available.

For knotless braids, box braids and senegalese twist we require pre-stretched X-Pression in desired colours
For passion twist, we require cherish bulk
For kinky twist, we require soft and silky
For goddess braids, please buy a minimum of 1 bundle of human hair (loose wave or deep wave) in your desired colour.

For braiding styles using X-pressions, non-pre-stretched hair is required so you can cut it to your preferred length.

No, washes are not included before services. If you’d like a wash beforehand, please add it as an extra service.

No, a treatment is already included in the silk press service, so washing beforehand is not necessary.

Yes, the minimum age requirement is 6. Pricing is the same for both children and adults.

The nearest Overground stations are South Tottenham and Stamford Hill.
For Underground service, Seven Sisters is the closest station, just a 10-minute walk away.

Yes, It is free after 12pm on Norfolk Avenue, Wargrave Avenue, & Rostrevor Avenue.

Monday to Thursday - 9.30am - 6pm
Friday and Saturday - 9:00am - 7pm

We accept payments via card and cash.

Please DM us on instagram @amahairsalon or message via Squarespace with an image of your style and we will get back to you with a quote for the style that you want.

For any type of consultation whether scalp, locs and especially colour, we require your hair in its natural state so your stylist will be able to assess your hair and how to go about future styling.

Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. This also applies to rescheduling or changing the appointment time. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your booking deposit.
